I’m Susan

So nice to meet you!

My art connects the beauty of the natural world with our beauty within.

Inspired by the natural beauty of my Vancouver Island surroundings my one-of-a-kind designs are imbued with the essence of butterfly wing patterns, a symbol of transformation. We all have cherished life experiences that enhance our inner beauty.

I create beauty you can wear by seamlessly connecting your beauty within with the beauty of the natural world so your personal style can shine brighter.

Fused glass one-of-a-kind jewelry; my fabric and paper designs are images of glass creations so you can enjoy the rich vibrant colours unique to glasswork.

  • I believe it is best to choose a gift for yourself or others that “speaks to you”.

  • I believe, when a person has confidence expressing their real-self they inspire others to follow and the world is better for this.

  • I believe in sustainable, ethical practices that help make the world a healthier more beautiful place for all.

May each design serve as a celebration of you, make you smile and be a reminder, you really can fly!

Susan

As I create for you, ethical practices and sustainability matter to me.

Jewelry

Each piece of jewelry is an art piece, handcrafted with high-quality materials and precision artistry. We ensure sustainably by using every cm of fused glass in the creation of pendants and earrings.

Fabric

All silk, poly-canvas, poly chiffon, satin charmeuse, and matte crepe fabrics are Oeko-tex certified. Certification includes rigorous testing, environmentally friendly, and safe for people to use. Categories include but are not limited to, non-toxic dyes, original fibre-grown pesticide-free, and source materials recycled.

All polyester blend fabrics are manufactured by the Montreal-based EcoPolyester company. They use stringent production methods, such as, 70% less water, energy and heat. Although these fabrics don’t hold a certification, they are considered “eco” because of their production criteria and commitment to ethical practices, a promising beginning and worthy of partnership.

Our fabrics are printed at the time of order. This may mean you need to wait a little longer to receive your product, but we think the sustainability gain and reduced waste is worth it.

Paper

All paper has Forest Stewardship Council Certification (FSC) providing assurance the material or product comes from verified and responsible sources that have met FSC’s strict environmental and social requirements.

One of the ways we minimize waste is by having our paper products made to order. It might mean you need to wait a little longer to receive your product, but we think the sustainability gain and reduced waste is worth it.

All my finished art is made in Canada.

Cyndy wearing her custom glass pendant

Susan is one of the most intuitive people I have ever met. I was in tears when I first saw the picture of my pendant. It was everything I had been looking for and more! Wearing ‘Grace Under Fire’, I feel her tremendous energy. I feel deep peace, strength, and excitement about the future.
